Design, Characterization and Feedback Control of Boiling Based Buoyancy Control Underwater Robot

In this project, I have been working on designing, developing and characterizing an artificial swim bladder based on novel boiling based buoyancy method for noiseless buoyancy control of underwater robot. A fluid contained within a variable volume swim bladder is boiled which results in the buoyancy change of the robot. A control algorithm for position and velocity control of the robot will be developed.
Study of temperature profile of a slab with or without heat generation

I was able to successfully develop a generic code using Finite Difference Method to calculate and plot the temperature distribution in 1D and 2D heat transfer surfaces. Different results were obtained using Dirichlet, Neumann and mixed boundary conditions and they were compared with the analytical solution wherever possible. Temperature distribution was also plotted for heat transfer surfaces with spatial variation of properties.

Deflection characteristics of a bimorphed piezoelectric actuator under application of certain voltage using FEM

Using Finite Element Analysis, we calculated the deflection, bending moment, shear force and bending stress of a bi-morphed piezoelectric actuator. Linear and non-linear shape functions were used to solve the problem and their accuracy was compared.
Temperature measuring instrument

The aim of this project was to create a temperature measuring instrument using thermistor. Thermistor was first linearized for the range 40-70°C to compensate for resistance variation during temperature change. A signal conditioning circuit had been developed so that we can measure temperature.

Developing an automated framework for evaluating a research paper

The aim of this project is to check whether all tables and figures of a paper are properly referred from the manuscript or not. If any non-referred figure or table gets detect, it reports that. Number of pages of a paper is counted and checked whether it crosses the limit of number of pages for corresponding journal or not. Based on that mark the paper is marked.
